Transport For London Smarter Travel Awards
(July 2008)

At the Transport for London 5th Smarter Travel Awards, I managed to win “Champion of the Year”. This was due to my work with the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames to promote road safety and the environment. I designed an insert which has been published in 12,000 student diaries for secondary school pupils in the borough. I conceived the idea of painting a mural based on the diary insert, which now stands next to a main road and has featured on the front page of the Surrey Comet.

I worked with the road safety council team, which produced a cinema advert and a radio advert to target road safety issues. The team also won "outstanding project of the year" at the Transport for London Smarter Travel Awards. Furthermore, all of these projects helped the team to win the Prince Michael International Road Safety Award for innovation and excellence in education and publicity.
